About Me
I’m Tom Shaw - a trailblazing poet, facilitator and sovereignty advocate from the UK. Having experienced firsthand the dehumanising nature of current Western societal constructs, I rekindle our connection to soul through my writings, my work as Chair of Over To The Youth, and hosting life-changing workshops and events.
You can read my poems in the Poems section, other writings and conversations in the Reflections section, or my Metropolis re-translation here.
Why subscribe?
Everyone who subscribes - free or paid - gets a free digital copy of my first poetry book, “Born Anew and Other Poems”. Every new post I put out is sent directly to your email inbox. For a spam-free, ad-free reading experience, plus audio and community features, you can get the Substack app.
I work on a two-week schedule. The first week sees a poem or poem-essay hybrid, plus some announcements or reflections bundled with it. This goes out to the public for a limited time. Then, on the second week, there’ll be something exclusive for my paid subscribers.
If you’re wanting to go a step beyond in helping me out, I’d be honoured. It takes a lot of effort for me to keep my expenses incredibly minimal so I can make enough time for what I already put out, but I could do a lot more with increased backing. If you are finding value in what I’m producing and want to help me create more, you can:
Buy something from my Shop (this is the equivalent of a one-time donation)

Paid Subscriptions
For £5 a month (or £55 a year to give a slight discount!) Paid subscribers get access to the entire archive, exclusive essays and reflections, other writings and my ongoing translation of Metropolis. They also get digital versions of my current poetry chapbooks and future ones (and yes, there will be more on the way!). We also have once-a-month Gatherings where you’ll get to meet me and other paid subscribers via Zoom.
They’ll also have a number of ways of sharing my work with others in their network, including giving limited-time access to my archive for their friends and family.
If you purchase a subscription for a friend or family member at the same time as your own, you also get a 15% discount - because having someone who shares your interest in poetry and the topics I talk about is a great thing too.
To sign up, simply set up a subscription through Substack using the form below.
For those who not only want to become a paid subscriber, but who wish to go the extra mile in helping me out, you’ll get a signed, framed print of your choice from my store for those who pay £100 or more a year. As well as all the other benefits of being a paid subscriber!
I also offer opportunities for those able to give their time as opposed to money to access my paid subscriber benefits through referring others to my work. Take a look at the Leaderboard to find out more.
Exclusive Content for Paid Subscribers
Be sure to check the Reflections and Metropolis - New Translation sections regularly for exclusive content that you can access. I mention everything that’s been released for paid subscribers in my weekly newsletter too, so you can be sure you won't miss anything.
Here are some noteworthy exclusive articles that I’ve linked here for easier navigation, although are plenty more to be found in the “Reflections” tab:
