Loved this evocative invocation to the bonfire 🔥 it kinda reminded me of Poe’s “The Bells” in the way you moved us from the thought of the bonfire to the actual sensations of it. A verbal bonfire to warm the soul on a cold rainy night.
There IS something about a good fire to warm ourselves by, to have our souls dance with the flames, and to sit with it as it dies down watch the coals glow with a pulse that parallels our hearts. So looking forward to this season of fire. Thank you for the kindling! Blessings, ~Wendy💜
Even sitting in a moving train, it felt like I was at a bonfire. Now that the weather is cooling down again I might just have to hold a bonfire soon. Thank you for sharing!
I love bonfires. I love when I bring my face closer to the fire a bit more, and letting my body warm up through my head, my eyes, my nose, my mouth.
Your poem helped me breathe today. Thank you. 🌻
Yes! I love this too. Glad to hear this was what you needed today.

A compliment indeed to have my poetry be compared to Poe's work. Glad this evoked so mich for you.

I can thoroughly recommend a bonfire at this time of year, and I've had a fair few already. Glad you enjoyed it!
